Nommo Kofi Diop was born and raised in San Francisco, California. While studying art at San Jose State, He became interested in learning about the continent of Africa, our ancestral homeland. During his childhood, he always drew sketches of his surroundings. Nommo interests have included the observation of the world. As a young man Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and African - American society became inspiring, for these different reasons. MLK had a dream that influence a relfection on his activism in social justice and civil rights for people of African descent in America. Malcolm X had the vision to see himself as a man who could change himself and could change the world. The African - American society has always appeared to be criminal. Enslaving African people, exterminating the American Indian to appropriate their land and for acting as if these atrocities were permissible under God's commandments was made lawful, so who is the real criminals?
